Prewitt has been active in the investment field for over 50 years. He retired from Raymond James Financial as a Managing Director and led relationships with many of the largest institutions in the money management industry. Previous to Raymond James, he was a Managing Director with Morgan Keegan and Executive Vice President of Todd Investment Advisors, a $3 billion money management firm in Louisville. He also has experience in the private equity and alternative asset space as it relates to due diligence projects. He serves as an arbitrator with FINRA and has consulted on litigation for cases dealing with complex security issues. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst having completed that designation in 1977. He is also a Chartered Investment Counselor. During the 1980’s, Prewitt was a member of several leadership committees at the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, including The Council of Examiners. He also served as President of the local chapter. He has lectured in Economics at JCTC and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Louisville for master’s level classes. He currently serves our Commonwealth as a Trustee of the Kentucky Retirement System where he is Chairman of the Investment Committee. Prior community leadership roles include Leadership Kentucky, Historic Home Foundation, Louisville Visual Arts and Fund for the Arts. He co-founded the Limestone Trust, now part of Kentucky’s largest land trust. After graduating from Woodberry Forrest School, Virginia, Prewitt attended Centre College and graduated with a BA in Economics. He resides in Louisville and is married with a combined family of six children and eleven grandchildren. |
